The Visit Sandpoint Council, with 13 appointed positions, is made up primarily of lodging members, destination/activity members, service providers for grant expenses, and restaurant and retail. The mission of the Visit Sandpoint Council is to promote tourism into the Greater Sandpoint area, particularly for the benefit of our Visit Sandpoint members, through effective membership communication, networking, and maximization of Idaho Travel Council (ITC Grant) funds in public relations, web presence, and cooperative advertising opportunities. The Visit Sandpoint Council annually receives grant funds from ITC to promote our area as a travel destination. The Grant is written in early April and funds are awarded in August. Amount of award varies.
